A dzud (a Mongolian term that describes ‘severe winter conditions) is a cold-season disaster in which anomalous climatic (i.e., heavy snow and severe cold). This year the increasing severity of weather conditions further exacerbates the crisis, underscoring the urgent need for humanitarian assistance in rural communities (countryside), especially the families with babies and small children.
On 2nd March 2024 we had finished collecting diapers and other essential baby items and it will be on the way next week for the vulnerable Mongolian herder households with babies and small children.

Children's Hope Mongolia partner with Madhatter Knits Foundation.

What a great news to start 2024!!!. Madhatter Knits Foundation has approved our request and agreed to send new born baby hats to Children’s Hope Mongolia. Madhatter Knits was founded in 2014 in Los Angeles, California, USA, is one of the respected non profit organizations in the United States, dedicated to supplying knit hats for premature babies in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) and empowering pregnant women.
Children’s Hope Mongolia in-collaboration with Madhatter Knits Foundation shall be distributing hats for the infants in poverty as well as for the maternity hospitals we work with here in Mongolia.

There is a study shows that the children from poor households do less well in school and Children’s Hope Mongolia in-collaboration with SCHOOL IN A BAG has distributed school bags and supplies to poor, orphan, vulnerable and disadvantaged children here in Mongolia. We at Children’s Hope Mongolia and SCHOOL IN A BAG truly believe that it will provide children a hope and a lifeline to a future out of poverty here in Mongolia.
SCHOOL IN A BAG is based in Yeovil, Somerset, United Kingdom one of the most respected UK based charity distributing school supplies to disadvantaged children around the world. Winter is coming and the flu season is approaching. Pediatric hospitals faces shortages on beds and some of the medical supplies as respiratory illnesses surge among children during winter season here in Mongolia. On this day Children Hope Mongolia has visited one of the maternity hospitals here in Ulaanbaatar and donated some of the essential medical supplies in order for the hospital to prepare for the upcoming flu season.

On 13th October 2023, Children’s Hope Mongolia has visited one of the state owned maternity hospitals “First Maternity Hospital” here in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia and distributed some of the essential medical supplies.
Most state owned hospitals are facing disruptions of basic medical supplies shortages here in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia and we would like to send our appreciation to our partners in the United States for their enormous support!

Tiny Tim’s Foundation for Kids has done it again! Children’s Hope Mongolia have travelled to one of the most secluded & poor districts here in Mongolia and distributed our toys to the most vulnerable children in the area. Tiny Tim’s Foundation for kids is one of our most valuable and respected partners and together with Tiny Tim’s Foundation for kids, we will be continue providing toys to to abused, neglected, abandoned and homeless children throughout Mongolia in an effort to improve their quality of life by providing them with comfort, consolation and healing during times of major stress, distress and sadness.

7th August 2023

Heavy rains have been beating down in Mongolia’s capital, Ulaanbaatar, causing the waters of the Selbe and Tuul rivers to rise and overflow. The entire population in Ulaanbaatar has been affected with tens of thousands reporting damage to their homes and over 20,000 moved to safe ground where they are receiving humanitarian aid. The government has declared a state of high alert in Ulaanbaatar, as more rains are expected, which experts describe as "the heaviest in the last 50 years".
On 7th August 2023, Children’s Hope Mongolia in collaboration with The Teddy Trust UK has distributed Teddy Bears and stuffed animal toys to the children affected by this tragedy in Shanty Town known as Ger District here in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia. We at Children’s Hope Mongolia and The Teddy Trust believe that it will give a little comfort to children during this challenging times as well as it is a friend to talk to and cuddle in the darkest moments.

On 3rd of July 2023 children’s Hope Mongolia visited and distributed medical supply aids
to the National Cancer Center, a largest and state owned cancer hospital in Ulaanbaatar Mongolia.
Mongolia ranked 1st in the word in cancer mortality rate, facing cancer crisis has the world's highest rate of cancer mortality per 100,000. In 2022, 4,548 people died of cancer in Mongolia with a population of 3.4 million, while at least 6,885 people were diagnosed with the disease in the country.

Tiny Tim’s Foundation for Kids has reached the hands of our young patients as well as our nurses at the National Centre for Maternal and Child Health (NCMCH) is the largest children’s health facilities here in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia.

One of our most valuable partner & collaborator is indeed the Tiny Tim’s Foundation For Kids! On 23rd of April 2023, Children’s Hope Mongolia has visited the children’s hospital and distributed the toy cars to our young patients here at one of the largest children’s hospital in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia. We, Tiny Tim’s Foundation for Kids & Children’s Hope Mongolia truly believe that it give a child little bit of comfort and it will help a child cope with an invasive procedure or they are facing difficult experience in the hospital as well as it can also be helpful if a child is in pain or discomfort.

As we continue our journey, Children’s Hope Mongolia has spoken with Emilee Johnson at the Tiny Tim’s Foundation for Kids and Tiny Tim’s Foundation for kids will continue and support our cause here in Mongolia.

Blessings from the UK! The Teddy Trust is one of the respected charities based in Leominster, Herefordshire, England that collects teddy bears from children around the UK and sends them to babies and children suffering around the world. On 16th February 2023 The Teddy Trust has sent us 460 teddy bears and it finally has arrived here in Mongolia.

On 23rd April, 2023 Children’s Hope Mongolia has delivered and distributed the Teddy Bears to our young patients and to the nurses at the National Centre for Maternal and Child Health (NCMCH) is one of the largest children’s health facilities here in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia.

We would like to take this opportunity to send our sincere appreciation to Ellie and June at the Teddy Trust for their generosity and kindness!

On 3rd April 2023, Children’s Hope Mongolia in-collaboration with Tiny Tim’s Foundation for Kids in West Jordan Utah, United States has distributed toy cars to the children at the Bayangol district kindergarten here in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia.

During 2022 we were contacted by Children’s Hope Mongolia

‘They are a small group of passionate people committed to help those in need, Children’s Hope Mongolia is a children’s health non-profit organization and believes that good nutrition and professional medical treatment are the bedrock of a child’s survival (well-being) and development in Mongolia.’

After numerous conversations, in January 2023 a pallet of 460 Teddy Bears left Leominster (waved off by Ellie and Selwyn). The pallet is now on a container ship called YM Wreath sailing across the Western Mediterranean on route for the Suez Canal. We will track the ship with interest.

HAPPY LUNAR YEAR

The Mongolian Lunar New Year, commonly known as Tsagaan Sar is one of the most important festivals in Mongolia and has been celebrated for more than 2000 years. During the festival, people gather with their families at home and show respect to each other through a variety of rituals. The Mongolian lunar year festival is celebrated on the first through third days of the first lunar month and this year’s lunar year falls between 21st to 23rd of February 2023.

On 20th February 2023, Children’s Hope Mongolia partnered with Save Mart LLC has delivered food relief boxes to 300 (three hundred) families living in poverty in shanty town known as ger district here in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia. Each food relief box included all-purpose flour, rice, fresh-milk, breakfast cereal, cooking oil, fresh juice, tea bag and biscuits.
Every child deserves a table full of food during this special festive season and despite poverty and hard times Children’s Hope Mongolia always find a way to give and celebrate this special day with our community. We would like to take this opportunity give our special thanks and gratitude to all the staff members at Save Mart LLC.

We have great news to start 2023! Medical supplies and equipment have finally arrived here in Mongolia from Intervol, USA. InterVol is a 501(C)3 nonprofit organization dedicated to connecting the world’s neediest to materials, people, and opportunities. By recovering and redistributing medical supplies and equipment worldwide.

Children’s Hope Mongolia in-collaboration with Intervol has distributed some of the essential medical supplies and equipment to Children’s hospital in Bayan Zurkh district here in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia.

As thousands in Mongolia have been pushed in to poverty by the pandemic, each year Children’s Hope Mongolia supports families living in poverty who cannot afford to buy gifts for their children at Christmas to ensure that they don’t wake up to nothing on December 25. And this year is no different.

The economy is taking a toll on the youngest Mongolians, as more families struggle with basic needs, like diapers. Keeping infants and toddlers clean and dry is a health issue and its all part of a national crisis as caregivers struggle with inflation, job loss or shortages as well as has become a vulnerable nation from the escalating crisis exacerbated by Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.

On 4th of October 2022, Children’s Hope Mongolia in-collaboration with community partners provided and distributed children living in poverty with diapers, wipes and all the basic necessities that every child deserves.

Youth Time Banking Global (YTB-Global) is a virtual, 501(c)(3) non-profit organization providing youth with service opportunities through its network of community organizations. YTB Global is time banking customized for youth, a program of giving and receiving where youth take care of Little Free Libraries, community gardens, design logos, participate in virtual events, work on anti-bullying projects, Etc.

Children’s Hope Mongolia in-collaboration with Youth Time Banking Global has been working with youth living in Shanty Town known as GER DISTRICT here in Mongolia during summer 2022. Sponsored by YTB Global and Children’s Hope Mongolia youth used recycled bottle caps-tops and recycled tires for the design on the fence and in the garden. They installed plants to beautify their neighbourhood!
Children’s Hope Mongolia in-collaboration with Feed My Starving Children (FMSC) shall be distributing nutritious food to children and young families living in poverty here in Mongolia.

Children’s Hope Mongolia in-collaboration with The Teddy Bear Project in Florida United States shall be donating teddy bears to the children living in poverty here in Mongolia. The Teddy Bear Project gives teddy bears and other plush toys to abused, neglected, abandoned and homeless children to improve their quality of life by providing them with comfort, consolation and healing during times of major stress, distress and sadness. The focus of the Teddy Bear Project is to help these children by providing understanding, caring, nurturing and empathic support.

Children's Hope Mongolia has been approved part of the Child's Play network. Child's Play is one of the respected charitable organizations that donate toys and games to children's hospitals worldwide. It was founded in 2003 by Mike Krahulik and Jerry Holkins, authors of the popular video games-related web comic Penny Arcade.
Children’s Hope Mongolia in-collaboration with Child’s Play shall be donating games and toys to the children’s hospitals here in Mongolia. Playing games and video games gives hospitalized children a sense of normalcy, which is very important during a challenging medical journey it will help a child to cope with an invasive procedure or if they are facing a difficult experience in the hospital and it can also be helpful if a child is in pain or discomfort.

The Naadam is a traditional festival celebrated in Mongolia with public holidays from July 11th - 15th each year. This is the largest and most popular holiday in Mongolia as locals attend celebrations with friends and family during this time.

On this special day 11th July 2022, as part of our Leave No Child campaign Children’s Hope Mongolia has distributed food relief boxes to the children living in poverty here in Ulaanbaatar Mongolia. Feeding hungry children right at their doorsteps

On 7th April 2022, Children’s Hope Mongolia started it’s Kids’ Meals mission to end childhood hunger in Mongolia by delivering free food relief boxes to those children in need. Each food relief box included breakfast cereal, all-purpose flour, rice, fresh milk, nutella and fresh juice which accompany the canned goods that are placed in each box.

In the wake of the coronavirus, thousands of children in Mongolia are facing poverty and hunger especially in Ger Districts in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia where communities' lives in below poverty line.

Kid’s meals mission is one year-round project to reduce childhood poverty and hunger and the food boxes will be delivered in monthly basis.
